We are a community center offering healing space.

Healing arts, devotional practices, dance, music, play, and ceremony are our specialties.
We are a focal point for consciousness-raising events, embodied workshops, and daily practices in the healing arts.
Teachers lead classes that increase wellness here. Healers rent treatment rooms here to provide deep individual attention to those in need of support.

We offer the continual gift of heart space in service to the community.

Offer an Event

  • As with any writing masterpiece, please make personal copies of all information submitted for the Facilitator Biography and Event Description.
  • Take a look at the Google Calendar and confirm two to three windows of time in which you can conduct the class. Mondays are available for events

  • To best serve the needs of the entire SEC community we offer these options for hosting an event at the Sacred Embodiment Center 50% Facilitator - 50% Center This compensation category acknowledges equally the contributions of teacher, student, and community center, and honors the work we all do from our hearts as service to humanity and all life. eg. Participatory Learning Classes and Co-Creative Events 60% Facilitator - 40% Center The is the standard profit share for classes and events. This compensation category honors the value of the effort put into the event or class by the facilitator, and also honorably compensates the center creating an opportunity to continue offering events, classes and workshops. eg. Classes, Weekend Workshops 70 % Facilitator - 30% Center This compensation category is for a class that takes a lot of prep time, organization, or stress for the facilitator. This is ideal for a large event such as a class grand opening, an event hosting a well-known guest, or a larger musical event that where a large number of attendees are expected. 80% Facilitator- 20% Center 90%-10% 100% - 0% This is a benefit event for the community: either a local project or community member in need of special support. eg. A Benefit for... 40% Facilitator - 60% Center 30% - 70% This class is an offering of service to the center and community. The facilitator is compensated for their time. eg. Angel walk, 20% Facilitator- 80% center 10% - 90% 0%- 100% This is service or giveaway to the center and community. eg. holiday birthday or community ceremonies: heartsongs, potluck/cuddlepuddle, love-a-palooza,
  • We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event to set-up and stay at least 15 minutes after to return the space to it's original condition. Please check the Google Calendar 24 hours prior to the event to be aware of events prior or post to your event.

Marketing Plan

If you haven’t yet, please use the Media section of the Event Submission Form to upload any digital marketing materials you would like us to use for promo.

Our responsibilities:

  • Posting your event to facebook/website/google calendar (700 fans on facebook) and group page (200+ people)
  • Inviting our networks to facebook event
  • Posting reminders day before/day of event
  • Including it in our weekly newsletter that goes out to 400 people
  • Gcalendar users can set optional text or email reminders

Our recommendations to you:

    • Post the event, once it has been created by us, to your profile on facebook and keep posting as the event date draws closer
    • Invite your friends to the Event Page on Facebook.. also copy and paste the event URL directly to your friend’s profiles (by saying something nice and inviting them to your event)
    • Create a list on facebook of people you might think would be interested in your event(s) and invite them with just one click:

    • Creating a graphic/flyer to post around town (we have a list of suggested places-let us know if you would like that). Use electronic version as a picture to post on your profile page on facebook.

    • Go to other community Events such as Dance on Sunday Mornings (11 am wave at Sol’s Reprieve) and announce your event. Tuesday night Kirtan at Nourish and Flourish is another place they allow announcements. (7:30 pm)
    • Tell or Tweet all your friends prior to the event (you might even want to text them)

As a leader, space holder, facilitator and healer:.
~we ask you to arrive at least 15 minutes early to your class and stay at least 15 minutes after the class ends (keeping in mind other events prior and post event)
~we ask you to tidy the space to prepare for your class, and clean up after your class.
~we ask you to speak with the earlier class leader to receive any important information about the space. we ask you to speak with the next class leader after you and exchange any information about the space.
